My computer doesn't work at the time. Therefore I'm not able to post any albums. Hope, it will work soon. Please bear with me!

Music was my first LOVE
Who don't know Martin Böttcher's music to the movie Winnetou. Böttcher rather prefer a dark and soft sound. So strings rarely have to play in higher register and trombones or harmonica often play the main themes. In doing so his arrangements sound very decent, as if his music has to stay in the background. From time to time you desire more contours, you are longing to the orchestra should escape. Anyway he got his place in my blog, cause the Böttcher-Sound is quite interesting, all the more if Böttcher paraphrases songs like "What A Wonderful World", "Love Is Blue" or "This Guy's In Love With You".
Harry Pleva has been the conductor of the Montanara-Chor from 1972 until 2001. Born in 1929 he also conducted orchestras. On this album he produced classic-hits in swinging sound. Who do you thing is the real creator of swinging classical music? James Last? I know Glenn Miller already plays music of classical composer. However I like classical tunes with swinging rythm. But the originals will be unreachable.
In autumn of 1987 I visited my first James Last Concert. This was in Utrecht - Neatherlands.
For me one of his best Classics Up To Date - albums. I did not see it in any blog, so I decided to make it public.
In 1984 James Last did a television show in Allgäu. The music of this show has been released on the following album. It is not Polka Party Sound as usual. Because of strings this album sounds romantically very often. Original performers of Allgäu (a bavarian region) provide authenticity to this production. The special guests Vicky Leandros and Karel Gott appear a bit misplaced. I hope this comment is permitted.
